The European Business and Innovation Centre of Burgos (CEEI-Burgos) is a non-for-profit organisation formed in 1994 by the following partners: City Council of Burgos, Provincial Government of Burgos and Federation of Burgos Managers Associations; and is an active member of EBN (European Business and Innovation Centre Network), ANCES (National Association of Spanish BICs) and PAIT (Spanish official network for creation of new companies).

Main services offered by CEEI-Burgos are incubation facilities, entrepreneurs and consultancy services, microfinance management, regional (rural and local) development and has a broad experience, both co-ordinating and partnering, in European projects.

As the voice of the European textile and clothing industry, EURATEX aims to create a favourable environment within the European Union for design, development, manufacture and marketing of textile and clothing products.

The EU textile and clothing industry has up to 176,400 companies employing 1.7 million workers; remains an essential pillar of the local economy across EU. With over € 48 billion of exports, the industry is a global player successfully commercialising high added value products on growing markets around the world.

In its proactive work with EU institutions and European and international stakeholders, EURATEX is focused on clear priorities: an ambitious industrial policy, effective research, innovation and skills development support, free and fair trade, and sustainable production.

Fondazione Politecnico di Milano (FPM) was set up in 2003 by Politecnico di Milano and by a group of public and private bodies, including large enterprises and public authorities, to contribute to the economic and cultural growth by promoting innovation and competitiveness in business at an international level. FPM works on setting-up and managing joint research projects, organising communication events, supporting the development of innovation in business and offering to start-ups (through its incubator) the infrastructures and services they need to grow. In DeFINE, FPM provides the administrative management, quality control, and risk management, and takes care of non-technical management and coordination aspects.

EBN is a network of up to 130 quality-certified EU Business and Innovation Centres (BIC) and 70 organisations that support the development and growth of innovative entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs. EBN is also a community of professionals whose day-to-day work helps these businesses grow in the most effective, efficient and sustainable way.

EBN’s members cover over 40 European countries and beyond including; Turkey, Canada, USA, Egypt, China and inter alia. Over the last two decades, EBN has become a reference point in Europe on innovation, incubation, entrepreneurship, SMEs and regional economic development.

Borås Ink is an incubator that supports entrepreneurs and innovators in technology, textiles and fashion with business development – from business concept to market establishment. They work to ensure that more startups make their first take off in the business world. With experienced and committed business developers, they provide inspiration as well as business-oriented and needs-adapted coaching throughout the growth journey. Together, Borås Ink take out the compass direction, establish realistic goals and contribute to your company reaching them! Borås Ink offer financing, technical and commercial networks and a creative growth environment in the Textile Fashion Center. There you will have access to an office space, studio and machinery park in one of the country’s coolest innovation hubs, close to both academia, business and city.

IFM

IFM
IFM is a higher education institution offering a broad range of expertise: postgraduate academic programs, executive education, and research in areas such as textile, fashion, luxury and design.

Ranked number 1 fashion school worldwide in 2017 by the Business of Fashion (Graduate ranking), IFM welcomes 200 students and 2,000 executives each year. Founded in 1986 by professionals from the industry and supported by the French Ministry of Industry, IFM maintains close ties with businesses, including its Circle of corporate partners which counts 15 of the most prestigious fashion and luxury brands.

Academic and market research are also important assets of IFM, offering numerous publications in social and human sciences applied to fashion and design. IFM also provides professional guidelines for decoding the profound economic and structural changes in the sector in terms of product strategy, consumer behavior and retail strategies.

In 2016, IFM announced a strategic alliance with Ecole de la chambre syndicale de la couture parisienne, an institution founded in 1927 and praised for the excellence of its teaching, combining creativity and technical savoir-faire. A new school is due to be launched early 2019 as a result of this alliance.

Politecnico di Milano, since 1863, has been delivering education, research and consultancy activities in the field of engineering, architecture and design.

The Design Department is a research and consultancy body with a multidisciplinary focus on design driven innovation, from design to manufacturing, digital technology communication and media management, marketing, retailing and business development.

It has developed several projects aimed at supporting SMEs through design driven innovation, based on transferring expertise and know how developed within the context of Italian design culture and its interaction with local industrial districts. It has an extensive experience in delivering professional advice in the sector of fashion, design and lifestyle industry and counts several international applied research programs and field projects on innovations transfer and incubation, matching design expertise and SMEs potential.

Media Deals is a pan-European investor network gathering business angels and early-stage venture capital funds focusing on Creative Industries and digital media. Since its creation in 2008, Media Deals has been promoting and encouraging early-stage equity investment in high-growth start-up companies in fields and sectors including; audio visual, film, TV, video games, music and distribution platforms, digital tools and services for creative sectors, disruptive models bringing content and technology together and cutting-edge media technologies.

London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London (LCF), offers world leading courses in all things fashion, from business to design and fashion curation. With over 60 undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, and 165 short courses, LCF students are collaborators, and together have the ability to reinvent the fashion industry for the next 100 years.
